Nutritional therapy takes us back to basics. It focuses on healing the body using a properly prepared, nutrient dense, whole foods diet and lifestyle changes. Food is our fuel that drives our body and processes each day. Nutritional therapy does not chase symptoms but finds the root cause of health concerns and works with you to develop a plan to address your symptoms. The approach and path to wellness is different for each person as we all have different needs. However, regardless of the person, we always address the foundations first-digestion, blood sugar regulation, essential fatty acid balance, mineral balance, and hydration.

A Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner™ (NTP) is a specialized practitioner certified by the Nutritional Therapy Association, Inc.® trained to evaluate nutritional needs and make dietary changes and nutritional supplementation recommendations based on each clients needs in order to achieve health and wellness. FNTPs are not trained to diagnose or treat pathological conditions, injuries, or diseases. Through a Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire (NAQ), food and mood journal, and Functional Clinical Evaluation, we will pinpoint exactly what your body needs so that you can find balance and feel great!
During the initial consultation we will talk about your health concerns and your health goals. The great this about Nutritional Therapy is that it is focused on YOU! We work together to determine a path to achieve your goals and you determine the success of the outcomes. To learn more about what is covered in an initial consultation go to the Services page.
Nutritional Therapy is about getting to the root cause of your health concerns. Each persons needs and goals are different. This means that an appointment lasts longer than your average doctor visit. You can expect your first appointment to last an hour and a half. This allows us to dive deep into your health history, go over your food and mood journal, set goals, and develop a plan to wellness. Should you decide to do a Functional Clinical Evaluation, where we test the needs of various organs and systems using lymphatic response points on the body, you can plan on the appointment to last an hour and a half to two hours.
When looking for quality care price is a concern. I know from experience that if you cannot afford to be healthy you definitely cannot afford to be ill. I have outlined my pricing on my Services page for your convenience.
Sometimes we need a higher level of support when it comes to getting our nutrients. Supplementation may be necessary. Our food isn't what it used to be! I work with several different professional supplement lines that provide you access to quality supplements. What you find in big box stores and many online resale sites are not providing you the nutrition you think you are buying. Buying professional brands from a trusted source gives you exactly what you see on the label.
Mineral Imbalances and deficiencies may account for 80-90% of health issues. Addressing the mineral piece of your health puzzle, through this simple non-invasive test, will go a long way towards deeper lasting results that take you beyond surviving to thriving. This can be extremely helpful if you have cleaned up your diet and made lifestyle changes. Doing a HTMA will tell us your nutritional needs, mineral deficiencies and imbalances, your heavy mental ratios, detox needs, and thyroid and adrenal function.
